When are your open office hours?

Our open business hours are Monday – Friday between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM We are available for design consulting, brand coaching, and site construction Tuesday – Thursday between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM Outside business hours meetings can be coordinated by appointment only. Weekends and Holidays are reserved for family

How many projects do you take on per month?

We work on a first come, first served basis.  We take on only 4 clients per month to ensure that each client receives the focus and attention they deserve. This allows us to work much more intimately with our clients and move much faster as our response time is sooner and our ability to implement changes and edits is almost immediate.

Due to our limited schedule, we often book projects out months in advance. If there is a waiting list, you will have a specific start date included in your proposal along with pre-project homework to complete so we can work as diligently and quickly as possible once your project begins.

What are our typical project turn around times?

Each Brand Design package takes approximately 2 1/2 – 3 weeks to complete; completely dependent upon client response time and feedback as well as the specific scope of work for your unique project.

Website Design projects vary depending on size and functional requirements. They range between 2 – 4 weeks; completely dependent upon client response time and feedback.

Clients shall use all reasonable efforts to provide needed information, materials and approvals needed to complete a project. Any delay by a client will result in a day-for-day extension of the due date for all deliverables and may result in project cancellation at the discretion of the Designer.

Designer agrees to use reasonable and diligent efforts to complete the Services in a timely fashion, subject to adjustments or extensions of time for conditions or circumstances beyond the control of Designer, including, but not limited to, delays in deliveries of materials, changes to the scope of the Services by Client, the failure by Client to timely provide instructions or information or any other cause beyond the control of Designer.

Client expressly acknowledges and agrees that any estimate of an anticipated completion date is a good faith estimate only and shall not be considered a representation or guarantee of a completion date.

What is our prices and packaging structure

Please refer to our 2017 Media Kit (coming soon) for all current pricing and package structures. For more specific pricing details as they relate to your business, please fill out our contact form and we’ll be able to better outline your project pricing.

What are our payment policies and methods of payment accepted

Payments will be made through Paypal directly through this site, or by custom Square invoice created for your specific project with Blackfox & Alpha. Some packages are purchased at a flat rate and are paid in full upfront, while other custom projects are billed in specified installments to be specified in your custom proposal. Projects will begin once payments have been made, and cleared.

Any additional revisions, or lengthened package sessions beyond the original package timeline will be billed separately at our hourly rate of $75.00.

Client agrees to pay Designer the fees listed in the Project Proposal, including all taxes. Pricing in the proposal includes only Designer fees. Any other costs, such as hosting, printing, art licensing or photography, will be billed to Client separately during the project.

Initial deposit payment is due before any design work begins and final payment is due before any digital files or site is launched. All other invoices shall be paid to Designer within five (5) business days of receipt by Client or as noted in the signed proposal. Invoices shall be sent to the Client every month, unless an alternate schedule is stated in the proposal.

Client agrees to pay for the Services at the rates and at the times indicated in the signed proposal. All deposits are nonrefundable. All website payments are final.

Designer accepts payment via cash, direct deposit, Paypal, or credit card. All returned checks will be charged a $25.00 service fee.

Client’s failure to pay any invoice within six (6) business days from the date the invoice was sent (by Designer), shall be in breach of their Agreement and Designer shall have the right to discontinue providing Services until such unpaid invoices are paid in full. Client’s failure to pay any invoice is also a breach of this agreement and Designer reserves the right to terminate the agreement in its entirety.

All grants of any license to use or transfer ownership of any intellectual property rights under this agreement are conditioned on full payment, including all outstanding additional costs, expenses, fees, or any other charges.

In the event of termination, the Client shall pay Designer for the services performed through the date of termination in the amount of a prorated portion of the Designer fees due. Client shall pay all other expenses, fees, and additional costs incurred through the date of termination.

What is our Refund Policy

Please keep in mind that all deposits are nonrefundable as it is our way of securing your spot in our schedule. We often book my projects several months in advance as to be sure that we can guarantee all of our clients receive the proper amount of time their project deserves.  Because of this process, we often turn away clients, or push projects back beyond your reserved project time slot. Therefore, if you back out, it may leave an empty slot in our schedule that could have been given to another project.  Our nonrefundable deposit is our way of securing payment and making sure my clients are completely invested in moving forward with their branding project.

All website payments are final.

In the event of project termination, the Client shall pay Designer for the services performed through the date of termination in the amount of a prorated portion of the Designer fees due. Client shall pay all other expenses, fees, and additional costs incurred through the date of termination.

What is our cancellation policy?

For Website or Branding Design contracts, please refer to our Terms of Service for all Cancellation policies and terms.

In the event of termination, the Client shall pay Designer for the services performed through the date of termination in the amount of a prorated portion of the Designer fees due. Client shall pay all other expenses, fees, and additional costs incurred through the date of termination.

If this contract is terminated by the Client, Blackfox & Alpha is not responsible for the return of any down payments made by the Client.

In the event of termination, the Client shall return all preliminary works and all designer tools to the Designer. Further, the Client will no longer have license to use any preliminary works and the designer tools.

All booking deposits are final and all website project installments are final.

How does our brand design process work?

What tools do we use to design your brand elements?

We use the Adobe Suite; specifically Photoshop and Illustrator to design and develop your specific design elements. Blackfox & Alpha will also apply many fine art elements such as hand lettering, painting, watercolors, and photography to complete a truly authentic design that meets your brand’s needs.

While we strive to keep your brand unique and authentic to you, we also keep in mind the best content design programs out there and how they work so that you can continue to develop your visual content on your own without having to purchase any of the Adobe software programs.

How will you receive your final design deliverables?

You will receive your digital design files and images in all popular file formats in a shared Dropbox folder for easy download. For all Australia based clients, you’ll also receive a hard copy of your design files via a personal USB drive mailed to you by Blackfox & Alpha *Purchased Fonts are not included and original/editable design files are an additional charge of $25.00 per file.

Who is responsible for content creation?

Blackfox & Alpha is not responsible for any content creation. (Unless negotiated into your specific package.) Please provide all pages titles and site content prior to site installation. All content will be uploaded by you to a shared Dropbox folder between you and the Blackfox & Alpha team. In that folder, you will provide individual page content, images, passwords, etc. You are responsible for providing all images in proper format, size and quality for your website. All shared images, documents, and passwords are kept strictly private protecting you and your business. Feel free to change the passwords either before our work together or after to ensure additional security.

Do you offer add-ons options for brand and website design?

Yes, but only to past clients or clients investing in any of our design packages. All ala-carte options are considered add-ons to an existing project. Please refer to our 2017 Media Kit (coming soon) for all additional design add-ons and print materials available beyond our package content.

Do you work with wordpress?

Yes. While there are a number of excellent platforms available on the web, we specialize in the WordPress Websites because of it’s incredibly customizable elements, endless options for plugins and additional forms, and its user-friendly interface allowing our clients to take charge of their sites after our time together has ended. We also only work with WordPress.org. Because of the restrictions on the free-hosted WordPress.com we cannot promise the customization and attention to detail that we can with self-hosted WordPress.org sites.

Do you work with any other platforms?

Yes, for eCommerce website packages, we offer the option between WordPress or Shopify for your site’s build.

Do you take care of domain names, hosting or email account set up?

No. Your Website Hosting, Domain, and Email purchasing and setup must be taken care of by you before the completion of any website project.

Do you host the websites you design?

No we do not. We do, however, build our WordPress websites on transfer installs within our own hosting; this allows our clients to research the right host for them during our time together. It is the client’s job to purchase and set up their own Hosting, Domain, and Email set up before the completion of any website build.

We highly recommend SiteGround for all WordPress hosting.

What Hosting provider do you work with?

While we allow you to select your own website host provider, we always recommend SiteGround. What program do you use for design meetings?

All of our design packages include a shared Dropbox Folder that will collect all written and visual content and copy during our time together. Once our work is completed, we’ll leave our shared folders open for an additional 30 days before deleting the folders so that you have enough time to collect, organize and move any information you wish to save.
